Holiday Food

Written by Emery on December 31st, 2008

I’m not a big fan of holiday food.  You know the typical ham, turkey, dressing, yams and seas of casseroles.  Call me picky but I don’t get excited by any of it.  After years of unsatisfying holiday meals, my dad created a tradition that more than makes up for any discontent I’ve experienced.

Here is a list of what dad orders…..

10 lbs. of crab and 2 smoked salmon filets from Island Seafoods in Kodiak, Alaska.

He also gets ribs, pork chops, briscuet, and sausage from some place in Texas for my brother.

Now that’s what I call a miracle on 34th street.
