Soaking It Up

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

I spent most of last week looking for a house in Selma.  I think we have narrowed it down to a just a few.  I’m finally realizing that we are actually moving in about 2 weeks.

We love Nashville and what God has done in us over the last two years.  We were lonely for most of the first year.  I remember coming home from work (Home Depot) on my birthday and being met at the door by Heather and Dakota wearing birthday hats.  The house was decorated and the 3 of us were the only people we knew in Nashville.  In that first year I wondered if we would ever miss Nashville when we left.  We were lonely but we still had tons of fun.

We have so many amazing friends now.  The last year has been so different from the first.  God has connected us with people who will be life long friends. We are taking the next few weeks to hang out with everyone and make a few more memories before we leave.

Moving to Selma

picture-9

The last couple of weeks have been full of thinking, praying and working things out.  Heather and I are moving to Selma, AL (hometown) about mid March.  I’ll be working with my dad and brother in a business my family started a few years ago.  The business is called Integrity Emergency Care and manages hospital emergency rooms.  Getting to work with my dad and brother is a dream come true to say the least.  We’ve been dreaming about this whole deal for almost 8 years.  We will also be investing more time into Integrity Worldwide (IWW).  Twitter @IWWMissions

I put in my two week notice at Prime Health Services about a week ago and will be taking some time off before we make the move.  Heather will be giving her two notice soon but we don’t expect to move until sometime into March.

We want to hang out.  Call, text, email…..let’s hang.

Band Rehearsal

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

How about another random update from a random Sunday?
CJ Weems is an artist here in Nashville that I’ve been playing bass with for the last 8 months. Being a guitarist, I had never played bass with a band until CJ asked me to. I’ll be playing less since he is working towards going full time in the next month or so. So, I’m at practice right now hanging out with the guy(Jim) that is taking my place. Good times.

My point of view…..
