We have been here for a few days and have only seen little spots of tar and oil. It gets on your feet but it’s easy to wash off with dawn and wasn’t a very big deal. The news said the oil shouldn’t get here until Sunday.
The oil is here now and there is tons of it. It rolled in around 9 or 10 PM. I would try to describe what it looks like but there are no words. I’ll post some pictures tomorrow.

Heather and I have been at the beach with the Armstrongs all week. We have a huge family and have so much fun hanging out. I think we have close to 40 people here. Paul and Renee got us all together for there wedding. Our family used to come down to the beach for about a week every year but we haven’t in almost 10 years. So here we are. Our family from all over the country hanging out together in very overcrowded cabins on the beach….fun stuff.
- wrecked our p90x diet a few times but still exercised.
- skimboarded
- go carts
- Paul and Renee’s wedding
- tons of relaxing beach time
- raw oysters
- caught up with family
Best of all…we finished working on our house and moved in before we left. Home sweet already remodeled home.
